Is there a fee when buying cattle that will be taken out of state?

Yes, a buyer that will be taking cattle across state lines will required to pay a fee for Out of State Exit papers. 

Who is your auctioneer?

Our auctioneer is Steve Allen.

What if I don't have a Trich test for my bull?

For in-state & out-of-state bulls you are required to have a negative Trich test within 60 days for all bulls 1 year and up, to be sold as breeding stock.

For in-state bulls to be sold as slaughter over a year they do have to have to have a pending trick test.

For out-of-state bulls to be sold as slaughter do not require a Trich test.

 

We can provide a Trich test and it cattle will be sold at the next available auction, upon receiving the results. Consigner will be required to pay all vet fees, feed and yardage


Bulls with a positive trick test result can and will be sold as slaughter cattle.

What if I don't have a brand on my cattle or proof of ownership?

The cattle will be sold as a stray by the NM Livestock board and you will need to show proof of ownership at a later date to receive funds.

What animals are we auctioning?

Bulls, steers, dairy cattle, sheep and goats. In the future we plan to ad horses.

Can I drop off my livestock after you receiving hours?

Yes! We just require you to call and book an after hours appointment. 1-575-635-4173

How many days in advance can we drop off our livestock?

As early as you would like!

What form of payments are accepted?

Check, Cash or ACH

When do you weigh?

We weigh the livestock before they enter the sale pen, with our certified scale.

What is the order of the sale?

Right now we do Sheep, Goats and then Cattle.
